Fatal Southeast crash death of Anna Catullo – Obituary

An 82-year-old woman from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, lost her life in a tragic collision on Monday morning in Southeast. According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Anna Catullo was driving south on John Simpson Road when her Honda CRV veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a northbound Isuzu box truck. The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m., and despite emergency efforts, Catullo was declared dead at the scene.

The truck driver, 45-year-old Xavier Quindetenempaguy of Carmel, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for several hours as authorities from New York State Police and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash, reopening it by noon.
