Fatal New Haven shooting death of Christopher Santana – Obituary.
Christopher Santana, a 25-year-old New Haven resident, was identified as the victim of a deadly shooting on Monday afternoon.
Police were called to the rear parking lot of 730 George Street at 3:23 p.m. after receiving 911 reports of a person being shot. Officers discovered Santana lying unresponsive on the ground. Despite attempts to revive him with CPR, he was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigations revealed that Santana had driven a friend to the parking lot when two masked men approached. One of the suspects shot Santana before both fled on foot. Police believe that the incident was isolated and that the suspect and Santana likely knew each other.
