Authorities have identified Lamarcus Alston, 45, as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in east Durham on the night of November 27.
Police responded to the scene on E. Lawson Street around 10:43 p.m. after receiving reports of a man with gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, they found Alston, who had been shot several times. Despite efforts at the scene, he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing. Durham police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and there is a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
