Fatal Minneapolis shooting death of Mohamed Yusuf Mohamed – Obituary.
Authorities have identified Mohamed Yusuf Mohamed, a 21-year-old from St. Paul, as the victim of a Thanksgiving shooting in north Minneapolis.
The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. on Thursday at an apartment building in the 700 block of Emerson Avenue North. Minneapolis Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Mohamed with a critical gunshot wound to the head.
He was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Preliminary findings indicate that Mohamed was shot inside the apartment, and the suspect fled before police arrived at the scene.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
