Fatal Columbus shooting death of Monroe Brown – Obituary
Monroe Brown, 48, from Columbus’ South Side, was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting on November 29 in the city’s Near East Side. Authorities responded to the scene on East Main Street early Friday morning, where Brown was found deceased from gunshot wounds.
A second individual, who has not been named by the police, was critically injured and transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center.
That person’s condition later stabilized. Investigators are still working to determine the details of the shooting, with no suspects or clear motive identified at this time.
