Fatal Fremont crash death of Shana Lininger – Obituary
Shana Lininger, 22, tragically lost her life in a two-vehicle collision near Fremont on Thanksgiving evening.
The crash took place at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and the Highway 275 bypass, where Lininger was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger from her vehicle was taken to Methodist Fremont Health for treatment following the crash. Authorities determined that Lininger, driving a Kia Sorento southbound on Highway 77 around 6:45 p.m., collided with a semitrailer truck.
The truck had been attempting to turn left from the Highway 275 off-ramp to head south on Highway 77 when the vehicles crashed. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, with support from the Nebraska State Patrol, continues to investigate the incident.
