Vanessa King dies in fatal Milwaukee apartment shooting

Fatal Milwaukee shooting death of Vanessa King – Obituary.

20-year-old Vanessa King, a mother to a 1-year-old daughter, was tragically killed in a shooting on November 29, 2024, in Milwaukee. The incident occurred at an apartment located near 7th and Galena streets, where she worked as an in-home nurse. King was found shot in a stranger’s apartment, and the 21-year-old suspect later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to her godmother, Leah Davis, King was on her way to work when the shooting occurred. Davis described her as a sweet, intelligent, and soft-spoken woman with an infectious smile. She emphasized that King did not know the shooter, calling the incident a “complete random act of violence.”

Davis also mentioned that the family is struggling with unanswered questions but is finding strength through their faith and unity. A GoFundMe has been set up to assist
