Fatal Annapolis pedestrian death of David Chan – Obituary
David Chan, 74, of Annapolis, tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while walking his dog on December 3, 2024. At approximately 7:25 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Cedar Park Road and Woodlawn Avenue, where they found Chan unconscious in the roadway. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was declared deceased at the scene by emergency personnel.
According to police, Chan had been walking his dog when a Honda Odyssey minivan, driven by a 62-year-old Annapolis man, hit him while traveling eastbound on Cedar Park Road. The collision also injured Chan’s dog, a Rottweiler, who was later euthanized due to the severity of its injuries. Police continue their investigation, but no charges have been filed at this time.
