Frank Santomauro dies in fatal Howell pedestrian crash
Fatal Howell pedestrian crash death of Frank Santomauro – Obituary
Frank Santomauro, 71, of Howell, tragically lost his life on Saturday evening after being struck by an SUV on Route 9 near Strickland Road.
The incident occurred shortly before 7:45 p.m. Santomauro was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 58-year-old Howell man, stopped at the scene and cooperated with police, but no charges have been filed as of Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office or Howell police. The crash marks the first of two fatal incidents in Monmouth County that night.
