A fatal collision between an unmarked Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) cruiser and a motorcycle occurred on November 30 at the intersection of Columbia Road and 13th Street, NW.
The motorcyclist, 20-year-old Giulianny Castro from Hyattsville, MD, was pronounced dead at the scene. The MPD member involved in the incident was uninjured and has been placed on administrative leave pending the ongoing investigation.
