Fatal north Houston shooting death of Leon Ratcliff – Obituary
Leon Ratcliff, 69, was fatally shot during an argument on the 2600 block of Melbourne Street in north Houston on Nov. 29. Police responded to the scene just before 1 a.m. and found Ratcliff in the roadway with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators discovered that Ratcliff had been followed by a black SUV, from which unknown suspects opened fire. The vehicle fled after Ratcliff collapsed. Marcus Tucker, 64, was arrested on Nov. 30 and charged with murder in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
