Samuel Grumet dies in fatal San Ramon pedestrian crash

Fatal San Ramon crash death of Samuel Grumet – Obituary

On November 27, 2024, 17-year-old Samuel Grumet tragically lost his life after being struck by a Subaru Crosstrek on Interstate 680 in San Ramon. Grumet, a high school senior and aspiring Navy SEAL, was walking on the freeway in the early morning hours, south of Crow Canyon Road. The collision occurred around 4:30 a.m., and Grumet was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to Grumet being on the freeway at the time of the accident. Grumet’s family and friends have shared heartfelt tributes, remembering him for his talent, kindness, and strong aspirations for the future.
