Anthony Sherwood Banfill dies in fatal Las Vegas motorcycle crash
Fatal Las Vegas motorcycle crash death of Anthony Sherwood Banfill – Obituary
Anthony Sherwood Banfill, 20, of Las Vegas, lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday morning. The collision occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard near Starr Avenue.
According to Nevada State Police, Banfill was traveling at high speed northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard. At the same time, a Toyota Camry heading southbound attempted to turn left onto East Barbara Lane. Banfill’s motorcycle struck the right side of the Toyota.
Banfill sustained critical injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota was not reported to be injured.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Traffic Homicide Unit is leading the investigation into the crash.
So far in 2024, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has investigated 70 fatal crashes, resulting in 78 deaths. This data is preliminary and subject to updates pending final investigations and coroner reports.
