Fatal District Heights shooting death of Khamya Ferrell – Obituary
Khamya Ferrell, 14, tragically died after being struck by a stray bullet in an incident in District Heights, Maryland, on May 31, 2024. Waters, 19, is accused of shooting into an apartment on Atwood Street, where Khamya and two other victims were inside. The intended target was a different group involved in an ongoing feud.
Khamya was taken to the hospital but passed away five days later from her injuries. Waters, one of four suspects, was arrested and faces charges of first and second-degree murder. Authorities are still working to identify the remaining suspects involved in the shooting.
