Fatal Cutler park shooting death of Christopher Perez – Obituary
Christopher Perez was fatally shot Sunday evening at Ledbetter Park in Cutler, California, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office. Despite efforts to save his life, Perez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities responded to the 12000 block of Avenue 408 just before 5:30 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Perez was accompanied by a 14-year-old boy who also faced an attempted homicide during the incident.
On Wednesday, detectives identified the suspects as 15-year-old and 19-year-old Christopher Talingo, both residents of Cutler. The 15-year-old suspect was apprehended after a brief foot chase, while Talingo was arrested by a SWAT team later the same day. Both suspects face charges of homicide, attempted homicide, and conspiracy.
