Fatal Charlotte County shooting death of Denis Patrick Carmody – Obituary.
On December 2, 2024, 63-year-old Denis Patrick Carmody was tragically shot and killed in front of a residence on Nasturtium Drive in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, where they found Carmody deceased.
Authorities have developed a person of interest in the case, who has been arrested on unrelated charges. Sheriff Bill Prummell expressed condolences to the family and stated that the investigation is ongoing.
