Fatal South Shore pedestrian accident death of Donna Mark – Obituary

Donna Mark, a 76-year-old resident of Pembroke, Massachusetts, lost her life after being struck by a vehicle in Hanson on Tuesday night. The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. in the area of 22 Main Street.

 

Authorities reported that Mark was attempting to cross the street when a motorist driving east stopped to let her pass. As she continued to cross, she was hit by a white Honda CRV traveling eastbound in another lane.

 

Emergency responders transported Mark to South Shore Hospital after her condition deteriorated en route to a medical helicopter. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the hospital.

 

The driver of the Honda CRV remained on the scene, and no charges have been filed at this time. An investigation into the accident is being conducted by Hanson police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth District Attorney’s Office.
