Hinkley Leifi, 21, was fatally shot on November 22, 2024, in Kent, Washington. Leifi was found in a parking lot on West Meeker Street after multiple gunshots were heard by witnesses. Police arrived and administered first aid, but Leifi succumbed to his injuries while undergoing surgery at Harborview Medical Center.
Investigations indicate that Leifi and the shooter knew each other, and the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. As of December 3, police had not made any arrests. This shooting follows another fatal shooting in Kent just one day earlier.
