Fatal Westbrook murder death of Robert Seger – Obituary

A Westbrook man has been arrested and charged with the murder of his roommate, Robert Seger, following an incident that occurred on November 21. Westbrook police responded to a medical emergency call around 11:30 p.m. at 34 Lamb Street, where they found 59-year-old Seger unresponsive and suffering from multiple blunt force injuries. Seger was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he later died from his injuries.

The Maine Department of Public Safety confirmed that the chief medical examiner ruled Seger’s death a homicide caused by blunt force trauma. Authorities arrested 47-year-old James Fowler, Seger’s roommate, on December 3. Fowler, who had called 911 on the night of the incident, claimed he had argued with Seger before leaving the residence and then returning. He is now facing charges of depraved indifference murder. The investigation is ongoing, led by both Westbrook and state police.
