Michael Dent, 36, was identified as the man fatally shot on Monday afternoon in Far East Dallas.
Authorities reported that officers responded to a shooting call around 2:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of John West Road, near Dilido Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Dent, who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
