Michael L. Broadie, 39, from Albany, was involved in a shooting with Troy Police on Monday, December 2, 2024. Broadie is facing multiple charges, including four counts of attempted murder of a police officer. According to the police, Broadie fired a shot from a semi-automatic handgun, but a malfunction prevented further rounds. In response, Sergeant Matthew Beaudoin and officers Nico Carello, Jared Faden, and Angelo Migliore fired 18 rounds at Broadie.
Broadie was injured in the torso, leg, and lip and remains in stable condition at a local hospital. He was later arrested and arraigned. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are requesting anyone with relevant information or footage to come forward.
