A deadly two-vehicle collision occurred in the township of Lamartine, Fond du Lac County, on the evening of December 1, 2024. The crash took place at around 5:43 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 151 and County Highway TC. The incident happened when a vehicle traveling east on County TC failed to yield to oncoming traffic, resulting in a southbound vehicle colliding with the side of the eastbound vehicle.
The crash forced both vehicles into the median. Samantha Watts-Galica, 34, from Brandon, was pronounced dead at the scene, and it was reported that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The southbound vehicle, carrying five individuals, was driven by a 41-year-old man from Fond du Lac, who was uninjured as he was wearing his seatbelt.
Four other passengers in the southbound vehicle sustained minor injuries. Authorities believe the crash was caused by the failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to yield to cross-traffic.
