Wayne Eric Orsin, an 18-year-old New Orleans resident, was fatally shot on Saturday, November 30, 2024, alongside 31-year-old Rashada Richardson in a violent shooting in the West Lake Forest neighborhood. Authorities responded to the incident at the 6700 block of Tara Lane, where they found both men dead at the scene. Later that weekend, 47-year-old Steve Brumfield was also found shot to death in the Milan neighborhood on Louisiana Avenue.
These killings were part of a violent weekend in New Orleans, which included a total of four homicides. The city’s police continue to investigate the shootings, which also left four others injured in separate incidents across New Orleans.
