Christopher Perez, a 30-year-old man from Cutler, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident at Ledbetter Park on Sunday evening. Authorities arrived at the scene just before 5:30 p.m. and discovered Perez, who had been shot. Despite efforts to save him, Perez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office identified two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting: 15-year-old and 19-year-old Christopher Talingo, both of Cutler. In addition to the homicide charges, both are also facing accusations in an attempted homicide case involving a 14-year-old boy who was with Perez during the incident. Authorities apprehended the 15-year-old suspect after a brief chase, while the SWAT team arrested Talingo at his residence later that day.
Both suspects have been booked under suspicion of homicide, attempted homicide, and conspiracy. The investigation remains ongoing, and law enforcement is urging anyone with information to come forward.
