Fatal Oakland shooting death of D’Alessandro Miguel – Obituary
A tragic shooting has resulted in the death of 17-year-old D’Alessandro Miguel, who was shot while riding in a vehicle with friends on the 1100 block of 86th Avenue in Oakland. The shooting occurred last month, and the vehicle’s driver, another 17-year-old boy, stopped the car and called 911 after the incident.
Authorities report that while the driver remained at the scene, three other occupants fled the vehicle before police arrived. Investigators believe one of the fleeing individuals was responsible for the shooting, with at least one witness stating that the shooter was handling a gun that went off unintentionally.
Miguel’s family is coping with the loss while his younger sister undergoes cancer treatment. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the Oakland Police Department’s homicide unit or its tip line.
