Fatal northeast Columbus shooting death of Gerald Jackson – Obituary

Gerald Jackson, a 38-year-old man, was fatally shot on Thursday in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. in the 3400 block of Nutcreek Court, located just east of Westerville Road.

 

Upon arriving at the scene, police found Jackson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead at 5:28 p.m.

 

According to authorities, a woman at the scene claimed responsibility for the shooting, stating that it was an act of self-defense. She alleged that Jackson had threatened her, and investigators have indicated that domestic violence may have been a factor in the incident.
