Steven Hoover, a 60-year-old resident of Duluth, tragically died after a bicycle-automobile collision on December 4. The Duluth Police Department identified Hoover and extended condolences to his family and friends.
The accident occurred around 5 p.m. near Mesaba Avenue below West 1st Street. Authorities reported that Hoover was riding westbound through a crosswalk when he failed to check for oncoming traffic and was struck by two vehicles.
Emergency responders transported Hoover to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police confirmed that neither driver involved showed signs of impairment.
