Fatal Somerset car crash death of Rylee O’Connor – Obituary
A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 195 west in Somerset early Friday morning claimed the life of 20-year-old Rylee O’Connor of Swansea, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The incident occurred near the 9.6-mile marker shortly after 2:00 a.m. State Police from the Dartmouth Barracks arrived to find the vehicle in the median. O’Connor, the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
Authorities, including members of the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services, and the Bristol County State Police Detective Unit, conducted a thorough investigation at the site. For safety reasons, portions of the highway were closed until approximately 6:00 a.m.
Massachusetts State Police extended their condolences to O’Connor’s family and friends. Those who knew her remembered her as a kind and caring individual with a beautiful spirit.
Funeral arrangements for O’Connor have not yet been announced.
