A domestic dispute in Chuluota, Florida, led to the tragic death of 40-year-old Kristin Stevens early Friday morning. Deputies from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at a residence on Hibbard Trail around 1:00 a.m., where Stevens was found deceased from multiple stab wounds.
A male victim, also injured in the attack, fled to a neighbor’s house to call for help. He was transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The suspect, 42-year-old James Christopher Lindsey, had a prior relationship with Stevens and reportedly broke into her home, attacking both victims. After fleeing the scene, Lindsey was found dead hours later in Orange County, following a single-vehicle crash. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances of his death.
“This is a heartbreaking and traumatic incident,” stated Sheriff Dennis Lemma. “Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones as we continue to investigate and piece together the full details.”
