Fatal Upper Saucon Township crash death of Nicholas Bolotine – Obituary

A tragic crash on Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon Township, Pennsylvania, early Monday morning resulted in the deaths of two individuals, including 30-year-old Nicholas Bolotine of East Cocalico Township.

 

The accident occurred shortly before 5 a.m., about a mile past Exit 60 for Route 309 South/Quakertown. Investigators reported that three individuals were attempting to push a Toyota Sienna out of the right lane when a tractor-trailer collided with the minivan. The truck then struck another tractor-trailer.

 

One of the individuals pushing the minivan was fatally injured, though their identity has not yet been released. Nicholas Bolotine, the driver of the tractor-trailer that struck the minivan, was also killed in the crash.

 

Four others sustained injuries during the incident, and a section of I-78 remained closed Monday morning as officials conducted their investigation.
