Teri Marshall dies in fatal Bridgeport pedestrian crash

Fatal Bridgeport pedestrian crash death of Teri Marshall – Obituary.

Teri Marshall, 60, of Wheeling, lost her life on Saturday when she and another pedestrian, George Weekly, 57, were struck by a vehicle while crossing National Road in Bridgeport. Weekly sustained serious injuries in the incident.

 

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred near the Bridgeport police station around 12:14 p.m. A 2013 Dodge Durango, driven by 58-year-old Denise Borsos of Martins Ferry, was turning east onto U.S. Route 40 from a private lot when the collision happened. The pedestrians were attempting to cross the roadway from the south to the north side when they were struck.

 

Both Marshall and Weekly were transported to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital by emergency medical services from the Bridgeport Fire Department. Unfortunately, Marshall succumbed to her injuries, while Weekly remains hospitalized.

 

Authorities stated that neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be factors in the crash. The investigation, conducted with assistance from the Bridgeport Police Department and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Department, remains ongoing.

 

Marshall’s tragic passing has left the community mourning her loss, while her family and friends remember her as a cherished and kind ndividual.
