A 70-year-old man, William Bonney, tragically passed away after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a tree in Knife Lake Township on Sunday afternoon. Bonney was driving a Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Mahogany Street when the accident occurred. After crossing the intersection with 220th Avenue just after 3 p.m., he went off the road, rolled the car, and struck a tree. Authorities reported that Bonney was not wearing a seat belt, and wet road conditions may have contributed to the crash.
