Fatal Whitehall Township shooting death of Hector Manuel Garcia Gomez – Obituary

Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio confirmed the identity of Hector Manuel Garcia Gomez, 46, of Palmerton, as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday evening in Whitehall Township. The shooting took place around 6:05 p.m. in a parking lot off MacArthur Road, where Gomez sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

Despite emergency efforts, Gomez was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest at 7:43 p.m. Saturday. Investigators from Whitehall Township police, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, and the District Attorney’s Office are continuing the search for suspects. Buglio ruled the death a homicide after performing an autopsy on Monday.
