Fatal Orange Grove three-car crash death of James Siecko – Obituary
James Siecko, 54, of Sugarland, Texas, tragically lost his life in a three-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon in Orange Grove.
The incident occurred around 3:25 p.m. on State Highway 359 near the intersection with Farm to Market 534. According to authorities, Siecko was driving a Dodge Ram southbound when a Ford F-150, driven by a 76-year-old woman from Sandia, failed to yield while attempting a left turn. A second vehicle, an Infiniti driven by another 76-year-old woman, was also involved in the collision.
Siecko’s truck veered off the road and rolled onto its side. He sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Matthew Schmidt. Although a medical helicopter was called, Siecko succumbed to his injuries before transport could occur.
The two other drivers were transported to Christus Spohn in Alice as a precaution but suffered only minor injuries.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and San Diego Highway Patrol Office are continuing their investigation into the crash.
