Fatal Harrisburg shooting death of Jhonny Torres – Obituary
Harrisburg police have identified 29-year-old Santiago Gutierrez as the prime suspect in a deadly shooting on December 8, 2024, in the city’s 300 block of Nectarine Street. Gutierrez is now facing murder charges and illegal firearm possession following the death of 25-year-old Jhonny Torres.
Officers responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. after reports of gunshots and found Torres deceased from at least one gunshot wound to the head. Witnesses reported seeing an argument between Gutierrez and Torres before the shooting occurred. The witness further identified Gutierrez as the shooter. Authorities have confirmed that Gutierrez was not licensed to carry a firearm in Pennsylvania.
