Toshimi Janiga, 62, of Wellington, lost her life early Monday morning in a tragic hit-and-run incident in Palm Beach County, Florida. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported that the collision occurred around 5:40 a.m. at the intersection of South Club Drive and Aero Club Drive.
According to authorities, Janiga was crossing the west crosswalk of Aero Club Drive when the driver of an eastbound vehicle made a left turn and struck her. The impact knocked her to the ground, and the vehicle’s rear tire reportedly ran over her. The driver fled the scene, continuing northbound on Aero Club Drive, leaving Janiga fatally injured in the roadway. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue pronounced her dead at the scene.
