Fatal Wright County motorcycle crash death of Kurtis Wasik – Obituary

A tragic accident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Wright County, Minnesota, when 17-year-old Kurtis Wasik lost his life in a motorcycle crash. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at County Road 30 Southeast and County Road 13 Southeast in Franklin Township shortly after 2 p.m.

Investigators revealed that a 40-year-old woman driving a Honda Pilot was heading north on County Road 13 Southeast when she stopped at a stop sign. As she proceeded to turn westbound onto County Road 30 Southeast, her vehicle collided with Wasik’s motorcycle, which was traveling east. Despite life-saving efforts from first responders, Wasik was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda Pilot was unharmed in the crash.

Wasik, a senior at Delano High School, was identified by the school in a district-wide email on Monday. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for his family, raising over $24,000. The incident is still under investigation.
