Fatal Osage County Highway 11 collision death of Andrew Shay Havens – Obituary

Andrew Shay Havens, a 19-year-old from Skiatook, Oklahoma, tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 11 near Avant on the evening of Friday, December 6. The accident occurred around 8:08 p.m. when Havens’ motorcycle collided with a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Steven Gage-Lane Hughes of Barnsdall.

 

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the collision happened on a curve in the highway near the centerline. After the impact, Havens’ motorcycle veered off the road to the south, while the pickup left the highway to the north.

 

Emergency responders from Avant EMS pronounced Havens dead at the scene. Hughes and his 18-year-old passenger from Bartlesville were unharmed in the crash.

 

The incident remains under investigation by the OHP.
