Fatal Kansas City shooting death of Deontae Marchbanks and Cierra Pennington – Obituary
Kansas City police have identified 19-year-old Deontae Marchbanks and 17-year-old Cierra Pennington as the victims in a tragic shooting on Monday afternoon in the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road.
Officers arrived at the scene around 3:30 p.m. and found both teenagers suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot. Marchbanks was pronounced dead on-site, while Pennington was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries shortly after.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about this incident to contact the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.
