Authorities reported that Munoz was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a driver on her way to work. The driver stated that visibility was poor due to the darkness in the area and that she did not see Munoz in time.
Munoz succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. Police have indicated that the driver is not expected to face charges.
