Fatal Oildale, Kern County pedestrian death of Brent Allen Evans – Obituary
A tragic accident on Tuesday evening claimed the life of 38-year-old Brent Allen Evans of Bakersfield. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Airport Drive, when Evans fell off his bike and was struck by a northbound 2009 Honda Accord.
The vehicle, traveling at approximately 40 miles per hour, ran over Evans, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Kern County Fire personnel.
The driver of the Honda immediately stopped and fully cooperated with authorities. The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
