Fatal west Lubbock shooting death of Devante Edwards – Obituary

Devante Edwards, 25, was fatally shot Thursday night in west Lubbock.

Police responded to a report of gunfire at a residence in the 61100 block of 26th Street around 11:04 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Edwards suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of Friday morning, no arrests have been made. The investigation remains active, with assistance from the Lubbock County Texas Anti-Gang Unit.

Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Line at 806-741-1000. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and callers may be eligible for a reward.
