Fatal Charlotte pedestrian accident death of Hendrix Truesdale – Obituary
On the morning of December 13, 2024, 11-year-old Hendrix Truesdale, a sixth-grade student at Coulwood STEM Academy, was struck and killed by a vehicle in northwest Charlotte. Authorities responded to the scene on Gum Branch Road, near Valleydale Road and Bellhaven Boulevard, at approximately 7:25 a.m. Truesdale was found lying on the roadside, and the vehicle, a 2016 Nissan Frontier, had stopped nearby. Despite being transported to a local hospital, Truesdale was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Investigation revealed that Truesdale was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk when the incident occurred. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed at this time.
