Fatal San Juan, Texas semi-trailer crash death of Rogelio Benavidez-Urrea – Obituary
Rogelio Benavidez-Urrea, 76, tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in San Juan, Texas. The accident occurred around 1:48 p.m. at the intersection of Stewart Road and U.S. 18 Military Road.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of a semi-trailer heading north on Stewart Road ignored a red flashing light and stop sign, striking Benavidez-Urrea’s Honda. The crash was severe, leaving the Honda completely crushed.
While the semi-trailer driver was hospitalized for injuries, Rogelio Benavidez-Urrea succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
