Fatal Long Beach pedestrian accident death of Elvira Cuellar – Obituary
Elvira Cuellar, 75, of Compton, tragically passed away after being struck by a car while attempting to cross Long Beach Boulevard on December 13, 2024.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. when Cuellar, who had fallen in the marked crosswalk at Greenleaf Boulevard, was hit by a 2009 Chevy HHR turning left onto southbound Long Beach Boulevard. Despite efforts to assist, Cuellar was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stayed at the location and cooperated with authorities. Police have ruled out speed, distracted driving, and impairment as contributing factors to the collision.
