Fatal Bootle-Kirkdale crash death of Lin Donnelly – Obituary
Lin Donnelly, 72, tragically passed away following a road traffic collision on December 12, 2024, at the border of Bootle and Kirkdale, Merseyside.
The accident occurred at 7:45 p.m. on Brewster Street when a blue Ford Focus struck the pedestrian, who was reportedly carrying a pile of Christmas presents.
Emergency services rushed Donnelly to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries shortly afterward. Her family has expressed their grief, stating, “Words can’t describe the pain in our hearts at the unbearable loss of you. Our life will never be the same without you.”
A 46-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been released on bail pending further inquiries. The investigation into the incident is still in its early stages, and Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses.
They are particularly interested in hearing from drivers of a silver BMW 1 Series and a small black vehicle, possibly a Fiat 500, who were in the area shortly before the crash. Police also urge anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
