Fatal Mobile shooting death of Monterio Harris – Obituary

Monterio Harris, a 28-year-old man, was fatally shot early Sunday morning while traveling on I-65 near Airport Boulevard in Mobile, Alabama. The Mobile Police Department confirmed that Harris was struck by gunfire from another vehicle as it approached the car he was riding in.

Police were alerted to the incident around 1:15 a.m. on December 8 when Harris arrived at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts to save him, Harris was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Authorities briefly closed a section of I-65 southbound during their investigation. The case remains active as police continue to search for suspects and gather more details about the shooting.
