Steven Laguna dies in fatal north Phoenix shooting
Fatal north Phoenix shooting death of Steven Laguna – Obituary.
A tragic shooting in a neighborhood near Interstate 17 and the Loop 101 on the night of December 11 claimed the life of 22-year-old Steven Laguna. Phoenix Police reported responding to the scene shortly after 10 p.m., where they discovered Laguna with at least one gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities stated that the suspect fled the area before officers arrived. Homicide detectives took over the investigation, and the neighborhood was temporarily closed off as evidence was gathered.
The following day, December 12, police arrested 20-year-old Nathan Calles Jr. in connection with the shooting. Calles has been booked into jail and faces several charges, including murder and aggravated assault.
