Christopher Peveto, 24, of Many, Louisiana, tragically died in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Louisiana Highway 6. The incident occurred at approximately 6:27 a.m. when Peveto’s 2011 Ford Escape left the roadway, hit a tree, and ended up in a ditch.
Peveto, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. Toxicology samples have been taken for further analysis.
Authorities are reminding drivers that wearing seat belts is crucial in reducing the likelihood of fatal injuries in accidents. The crash remains under investigation.
