Jestin Ware II, an 18-year-old from Shreveport, was fatally shot late Saturday night in the South Highlands area. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Pierremont Road shortly before 11 p.m. Ware was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:29 p.m., according to authorities.
The Shreveport Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
This tragic event marks the 52nd homicide in Caddo Parish this year, with 49 of those occurring within Shreveport city limits. The shooting took place in the 71105 zip code.
